SoftServe volunteers and Open Eyes corporate charity fund joined all-Ukrainian charity initiative “School Bag”.

Employees of the company raised funds to provide pupils from the “grey area” (territory adjacent to the ATO) with school supplies and school bags in order to help them prepare for the new school year.

“We were aimed not only at providing children with essentials for school, but primarily at helping them put their minds off turbulence of life near the ATO zone and enjoy such casual but memorable childhood moments” – says Ksenia Romaniuta, CSR manager of SoftServe.

Thanks to the campaign 100 children from Mariupil, Kramatorsk and Severodonetsk received brand new “school bags” filled with the necessary stationaries for school, which are briefcase, pencil case, notebooks, pencils, paints, plasticine and different small stationery items.

The initiative is founded by Charitable Foundation “Caritas Ukraine”, that has held “School Bag” for nearly twenty years to provide support for children from needy, multi-child and crisis families.
